What a Way to Spend New Year’s

Yes, it’s New Year’s Eve, and I find myself in my classroom individually emailing each of the 22 students who received Incompletes for my class (for not completing 80% of their writing assignments), because I just found out that for some reason beyond their control they can’t see online what assignments they are missing. Of course, the information I need to accomplish this feat is scattered across four platforms, only two of which can be open at the same time. Whoohoo.

Yet somehow I have parents who are convinced I have it out for their child!
